Cathy (Boatwright) Wade

May 3, 1955 ~ July 6, 2016 (age 61) 61 Years Old

Cathy Boatwright Wade was the daughter of Eliza Brunson Boatwright and the late Truluck Boatwright. She was raised in a Christian home along with her sisters and brothers. She was educated in the public schools of Marion County, SC. Cathy as she was affectionately called was very family oriented. She was a woman who believed that family should work together and love one another. She was always there for her family regardless of the circumstances. Because of her love concern for family, everyone loved, respected and admired her. Cathy was a inspiration to all who knew her. The joy of her life was spending time with her husband, crocheting,her grandchildren, great grandchildren and church. She also worked for Russell Stover Candies for five years and volunteered for the Headstart program because she loved children.

Cathy was a member of St. Mary AME Church as a child, and later married and joined Sandy Grove Holiness Church. She later became a member of True Fellowship Church until her death. Cathy was united in holy matrimony to James "Duke" Curtis Wade ad to this union they were blessed with four children. She was preceded in death by her father: Truluck Boatwright and a brother: Bobby Boatwright.

Cathy leaves to cherish her precious memories ~ her husband of thirty years: James C. Wade; her mother: Eliza Brunson Boatwright; two sons: Darrell Boatwright and Timothy Britt both of Marion, SC; two daughters: Georgia (Joyce) Britt and LaCathy Britt; one sister: Joanne Boatwright Davis of Gresham, SC; three brothers: Truluck Boatwright Jr. and Frederick (Sharon) Boatwright both of Gresham, SC and Larry (Hattie) Boatwright of Eden, NC; three sisters-n-law: Esther (Henry) Foxworth, Veronica (Alton) Davis both of Marion, SC and Gloria (Virgil) Outlaw of Florence, SC; one brother-n-law: Lonnie L. Wade of Mullins, SC; eighteen grandchildren , three great grandchildren; one special god-mother: Esther Lee Jackson; two very close friends: Annette Willis and Gwen Owens along with two other close friends to the family: Christina Boatwright and Richard Nelson and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
