Lorraine Yvonne Leonard, affectionately known as Lorrie, was born on June 12, 1945, in Canastota, New York. Her journey of peaceful transition February 4, 2025, as she peacefully passed away at the home of her beloved sister and brother-in-law in Marion, South Carolina.

Lorrie dedicated over two decades of her life to serving the community at Syracuse Psychiatric Center, where she retired after 23 years of devoted service. Her dedication to her work and the well-being of others was evident throughout her career.

For the last seven years, Lorrie faced the challenges of dementia, demonstrating remarkable resilience and grace. She is remembered not only for her strength in facing this illness but also for the warmth and kindness she shared with those around her.

She is survived by her brother, John Leendy, and her sister, Denise Dave, along with her cherished nephew. Lorrie's legacy will also live on through the memories held by her family and friends.

Lorrie is preceded in death by her son Scott, and she will be immensely missed by her family, including her niece Danielle and nephew Devin, among many other nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart. As we remember Lorraine Yvonne Leonard, we celebrate a life filled with love, service, and familial bonds that will never be forgotten.
